Description
This is Super Metroid, but upside down.

Wall-jumping is necessary, and Infinite-bomb-jump is recommended.

There are a few tweaks that were necessary, because turns out this game isn't designed to be upside down.

I believe it is in full working condition, but let me know if you find any errors or bugs.

This hack can make certain rooms easier or a lot more different to traverse. And seeing as there is no upside down gates, there are other ways to still head to the objective at hand, some off the top of my head being the path on the way to Wrecked Ship, and Spazer Beam.

Some places may seem impossible, like the Etecoon room and Spore Spawn, but it simply means you have to go around where you normally exit from those rooms. And in the case of Spore Spawn, it's more difficult than the Etecoon room.

I'm also not sure if the way of going through Golden Torizo was intended to be soft locked once you lowered (risen, in this case of UpTroidDown) the acid, as the way back after leaving the room just reappears with hardly another method out. (Or if there was one, I missed it.)

If you're looking to explore Zebes in a whole new way, then this one might be a trip worth experiencing.

Even more disorienting than Rotation!

Pulled off really well and the concept is self explanatory. It's biggest downside is the same as Rotation's, it's just not as fun as it is novel. Still it's really well done and a step up in terms of polish from Buggman's previous hack Super Mirrortroid which like this just flips the world, except horizontally. Slight graphical error when picking up items and a couple odd work arounds are the only flaws in execution and they're VERY minor. Really great work, thanks Buggman.

When I was playing this hack, it gave me a familiar and strange feeling. It's very different from the vinilla game. Interesting experience. Highly recommend 100% item collection.

You get what the name's offering. Vanilla Metroid up-side-down. That's about it.

mid-air morph simulator

quite an interesting way to replay super metroid. well, it's still just vanilla super metroid, only upside down.

The elegant simplicity of this hack is what, I think, makes it so special. It's just upside down! That's all! And yet this changes so much about the difficulty level in each room, the routes to choose, the way puzzles are solved. Also, when I play it for more than 30 minutes at a time, I start getting super dizzy and disoriented even after I play. Which is cool, now that I know to expect it.

Now have you done it in Reverse Boss Order?

Animals saved. This is another banger of a hack by Buggman.

Puts the other rotation hacks to shame! - "otherRotation" (https://metroidconstruction.com//hack.php?id=714) also made by the developer of this hack "Buggman". And "Rotation" (https://metroidconstruction.com//hack.php?id=350).

I really enjoyed it. Maybe not quite as much as the sideways rotation one, but it's still good if you've played that and you're itching for more. Something about not knowing which way was which kept bothering me, which didn't happen when the world was turned 90 degrees instead of 180.

Bubble Mountain gave me a lot of grief. Some clever solutions with rooms and situations that really need to be right-side-up.

Great for what it is.

this hack is much better than Mirrortroid since it's actually challenging, being SM turned upside down and I actually had fun with this hack, Mirrortroid, and the other hacks that Buggman has made.. 8/10
