This was a really good hack, and although I loved most of it, there were many things that annoyed me.

+These tilesets! I loved Maridia and Tourian the most, however Lower Norfair and Lower (technically higher) Brinstar were great too.
+The ammo system is really cool, and while I thought that a cost of 10 for supers was too much at first, I found it to be incredibly fair.
+The hack gives you many options to sequence break. I know for sure that I got super missiles out of order.
+The physics are really good, giving you the floaty feel of Super Metroid but also the quick responsiveness of Zero Mission.
+The opening theme as part of the Crateria music? Hot dog!
+The map was really intuitive to use, and I never found myself getting TOO lost.
+The gate system was really cool. Only thing I would say is that once you have all items, they are really easy to find. Also, the screw attack should not have been hidden behind specific gates, since you can only get it super late in the game.
+The escape sequence was magnificent, if a bit stressful. Not gonna spoil it though.

-Ugh, the tilesets of Crateria, Upper Brinstar, and Upper Norfair. I have to admit that I didn't like them that much. Also, those areas were my least favorite in general.
-The bosses kinda sucked, Kraid and Ridley were too easy, while Phantoon was a dick because he sucks your HP and then you got to go a far way with low health. Draygon had the grapple trick removed (which is fine), but his HP should have been lowered a lot. Golden Torizo was an HP check, though I didn't find him as hard as others supposedly have.
-The lack of direction. This hack could have really used the hint system of redesign axiel edition. I constantly felt blocked off from what seemed to be the right path. Super Missiles and Power Bombs are the best examples of this, though I would but Speed Booster there too.
-The gates were too easy to find sometimes, and sometimes they were near impossible to find. Maridia is the worst offender here, with it requiring 2 of its 3 gates to be opened to even get to Draygon.
-I didn't like being able to go to areas where I couldn't hurt the enemies. Usually that means that you aren't supposed to go there, which was not the case here.
-The whole entire Ridley before Draygon thing could've been a lot more obvious, as I first beat Botwoon, and I thought that meant I was supposed to clear up Maridia.

All in all, the positives outweigh the negatives, and I really recommend this hack to anyone who wants more Metroid.
Super Metroid Arcade : Endless mode by Lioran, Tewtal [SM Quick Play], rated by OneOf99 on Nov 27, 2017 (Star Star Star Star Star )
No completion stats.
One of the coolest things I've seen with hacking. This provides quite a large amount of time of pure fun, and because of the seed option you can race with others. Getting the achievements is really rewarding, and the challenge goes up at the right pace. 5/5 from me!

(That being said, I would be interested in seeing more done with this, like maybe custom rooms that get added to the pool?)

This hack has a good balance of hard-core Ing and fun exploration. I really liked how open this hack was (I think you could skip all beams but ice), and there were many additional paths to use with new abilities that made backtracking less of a hassle than it is in other hacks. Some parts were a bit cheap in terms of difficulty, but that's what you got to expect when you play an Ing hack ;)

If I have to have one major complaint, finding the final boss was a bit silly and required some backtracking that the player may not want to do. Other than that though the design of the hack was good.

Playing this hack was a good use of one hour. 4/5

Fun little hack, I like how consistent that hot and cool areas were. I wish the hack was a little longer, but perhaps then it wouldn't be as fun. The exploration in the last area was a bit short but was still fun to see how things changed between the two temperatures. Some of the items are hidden quite well and there are a lot of good places to backtrack with new abilities. The title screen and end sequence are quite underwhelming, but not enough to lower this hack's rating for me.

This hack has so much going for it yet it fails on so many levels. The graphics are a pain to look at, I had to take several breaks especially during the early sections on so that my brain wouldn't hurt from all the clashing palettes and unidentifiable walls that littered each room. Often I would find myself unaware of how to progress because it was impossible to see at first glance that one specific 2x2 block in a wall was different by only one pixel, which was the only way to tell that it wasn't part of the wall. The music is one of the few positives of the hack, and the whole time mechanic was really cool yet feels wasted in the way this hack progresses.

Okay hack, it's a nice short mini-hack but doesn't do anything spectacular (or terrible). I liked the overall item progression, but the plasma beam barrier was not telegraphed well and got me stuck on my first play-through. Ice Ridley has quite a bit of hp and is annoying if you don't cheese him, why no charge beam?

Completion time is obviously final IGT and not actual, since this does not account for the many deaths that happened in this bizarre hack.

I think as someone who has only played Redesign out of the 5 hacks mimicked here, I feel that the overall joke is kinda lost on me since I don't get as much of a callback as I would have liked. That being said, I think for what the hack set out to do it did it right. My order of areas was YPR -> Yce Metal -> Hospytal -> Redesygn -> Chrystner Homenag. I was a bit disappointed that as a sequel to Y-Faster, this hack didn't have new areas to explore and rather was recycled bad content that, although admittedly being made fun of, did not conduce to good gameplay in many areas (I'm looking at you redesign physics).

The general idea behind the bosses was good though, and I have to say that despite usually needing savestates to beat super metroid hacks (I suck at hard SM) I didn't really feel the need to savestate here. The difficulty was fair all throughout, granted I did initially visit redesygn and decide consciously that it was definitely too hard for me at the start.

The end of the game was a mixed bag for me as well. The quiz was very funny (Karid-X confirmed???) but it didn't help someone like me who didn't play most of those original hacks. The escape left something to be desired, it was a good "callback" but I expected more from the grand finale of a hack like this.

Overall I did like it, but it was just as annoying as I expected when I figured out the theme. I like the natural exploration and design of the original Y-Faster more, and I likely won't be returning to this hack anytime in the near future. But it was fun (~ish) while it lasted.

Fun little hack, the tileset has some great colors and the overall exploration is short and to the point. I liked the bubble wave beam a lot.

(in game time used, real time likely around 4 hours)

Wow, what a great hack! I love much of the area design and good use of vanilla gimmicks in new ways, however the hack is not without its faults. Many sections feel rather pointless (especially certain paths unlocked with power bombs) and there are plenty of one way paths that feel like annoying traps (looking at you, desert). The intro segment with suitless samus is very cool and one I will remember for a long time. I find it interesting with how few items you can get to MB with, I initially got there without any beams so I backtracked after a harsh death in the escape to find plasma beam, wave beam... and that's really it. Never found ice, screw, or speedbooster so go figure. Much of the hack is very well designed and you can tell a lot of thought went into how the overall game progressed. Kudos also for the selection of custom music, the choices fit very well into their respective areas.
