Temple of the Winds is an interesting little hack that is somewhat marred by how dense it is, but that density is what makes the hack the winner of Most Creative in my eyes. It's highly transformative of Super Metroid, to the point where you absolutely need the manual open on your second monitor to be able to make it through the hack without getting incredibly frustrated. That on its own is a unique gameplay mechanic, but coupled with all the custom ASM and other unique bits and pieces, TotW is a hack you won't regret playing.

TotW has some really interesting new items and coding that lend to a change in how you play the game vs how vanilla is played. You have to rethink your tactics and look at obstacles from a different angle.

This is actually very close between Temple of the Winds and Y-Faster 2 Fast. Y-Faster 2 Fast has been done 3 times now, and while great, doesn't offer the same uniqueness that Temple of the Winds provides. Definitely a very interesting and creative experience.
