Metroid3D's Ratings and Reviews
The first hack I've ever 100%ed. Perfect length, perfect difficulty, fantastic blend of similarity to Super Metroid and unique & unexpected original content. Superb, a must play.

Amazing atmosphere, great exploration. Just the right length. Very VERY good hack.

Perfection.
This hack was a masterpiece
The only downside is that I've been permanently blinded, and will be seeking legal damages.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Hands down one of the best SM hacks I've ever played.
The segmentation into three zones is wonderful and ensures you're never too far away from your current objective. There's no "Do I need to use this new item back in the first area in the one corner of the map I missed" and the items/rooms have a really neat flow to them. The warp rooms are cool for getting around quickly but aren't super necessary. Not being able to go back for items is a bit of a bummer, but I never felt under-powered despite not going out of my way for a high %.
Room names are really charming! They've been done before in hacks but combined with the level design makes this hack feel a little bit like SM meets VVVVVV at times.
The new mechanics were super cool and a good way to mix up gameplay, while not feeling too out there. Room design was great as well, good use of effects and foreground/background tiles. There's lots of great little opportunities to get certain items earlier than intended.
Most importantly, despite this being a really long hack it DOES NOT FEEL IT'S LENGTH.
Probably the best hack currently released as of now. Go play it.

Amazing!
FINISHED NATURE.
Great hack, definitely recommend for anyone looking to get into Romhacks! There are a couple of minor difficulty bumps(Lower Norfair, Escape) but overall it's great!

While Conner previously surmised everything possible to say about the gameplay experience "Metroid Mission II" I felt it was necessary to further elaborate. Metroid Mission II is a classic example of a romhack that sucks. Hi, I'm Adam Brown, and this, is Gamemaker's Toolbox.
In the words of Rivers Cuomo, "Oh No." was the first thing on my mind when I begun playing this hack. The similarities to Metroid: Zero Mission, a game released by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advanced SP are striking, to go as far as to almost call this a ripoff. The two colour theme seems inspired at first but is a clear ripoff of "Metroid: Gefroren, aber auch heiß wie Feuer", a strange German import hack. The length, sloppily written story and overall themes of hot and cold bring memories so vivid and similar to "Metroid: Gefroren, aber auch heiß wie Feuer" that I would go as far as to accuse sapphron of plagerisim. Or, as Conner might say utilizing an old German expression: "Das Pferd ist den Kleber nicht wert, aus dem es besteht."
This is when I realized I was not actually playing "Metroid Mission II" and actually a .gba ROM file Conner sent me titled "freezenflamefuckyousapphron.gba".
Tune in next week, where I go over the differences between Sapphron and Conner.

Great hack! Some minor level design quirks aside it's very well made. A must play.

It's still M2, but the best version of classic M2
Solid hack. A few tweaks could make this better but overall I enjoyed this.

I played this when it first released.
The right side of the hack is excellent, graphics and music are well done, great ending.
The left side of this hack is so genuinley frustrating and stupid that I cannot recommend this hack.
