Description
The second installment of the CRE series.

Samus ends up once again in a world made purely out of the CRE tileset.
Prepare once again for janky art, and have fun!

PS: unfortunately, because of a certain restriction, which hopefully will, but probably won't become obvious once you play the hack, this hack is shorter than it's predecessor.

v1.05 changelog:
-fixed early softlock
-fixed minor tiling issues
-invisible door in charge room
-forgot to credit betatesters

Another very well made quick play hack like the first one.
Creative use of the CRE tileset that's enjoyable to look at.

Looking forward to part 3!

Recommended.

Excellent quick play.
It's CRE 1 but somehow better. Level design is improved, cool concepts, and most importantly the actual CRE. It's super impressive. Everything in the hack is CRE just like last time, and it looks great here. You should be proud, Tundain. It's rather short but is just long enough to warrant a quick play and can be sat down for in about 30 minutes and finished.
Finished.
Highly recommend.

I am consistently impressed with Tundain's ability to use the CRE's tiles in such a versatile way. There's a lot of cleverness with it, and the final boss especially is a treat in this style. The rest of it is still a bit samey. If you're fine with that, you'll probably enjoy this hack. Otherwise, you'll get tired of the grey rather quickly. The gameplay of this hack is good, but it's nothing too special. Recommended.

Very enjoyable hack and a great sequel to CRE.
The use of CRE was marvelous and cool surprises.
Got "lost" at the end in which expansions I missed but was entirely my fault.
And the bosses were GREAT.
Can't wait for CRE 3!
P.s. beware of the room before the end: save if you intend to get 100% and you missed something as you can't go back from dropping into the single block.

These CRE hacks are unironically better than some fullhacks. They are more fun, more creative, more encouraging to explore to see just how bored the author actually gets during his every day life and subsequently more expressive. This one had a map that was intuitive to fill out, too, short as it was. The creator knows how to mix high effort with shitposting, and it is the best kind of shitposting. Definitely fully recommend this and its predecessor.

Very good quickplay! Unique item loadout by endgame and very cool use of animated tiles.

I score this higher than the original CRE hack because it definitely felt more polished. Much of what I said in praise and criticism of the original CRE applies to this one as well. Quite incredible what Tundain was able to pull off within the creative confines he chose to explore. As with the last game, the enemies and bosses were a delightful horror to behold.

Beyond the custom graphics and ASM, Tundain has an eye for making individual rooms appropriately challenging, and gradually ramping up the difficulty of the hack in a way that never feels cheap.

That's a hard balance to strike, and there are plenty of hacks I love that don't do this as effectively as Tundain's have. (This is also taken in the context of my experience with Familiar and Alliance, two hacks I have yet to give a proper review.)

It's shorter than the original, and that's the only negative I took away from CRE 2.

Both CRE hacks need to be played. I really enjoyed them.

just like the last hack, this one is amazing and phenomenon too, especially for a hack of the quick play genre. I'd definitely recommend this to people who love quick play hacks

Forgettable spin off (barely a sequel) as it brings absolutely nothing new to the table, it feels more like a playground for animated tiles than anything else.
You basically spend the whole time in a junkyard of CRE tiles and call it a day.
Your mileage may vary, uninitiated shall find some of the stuff thrown in goofy but I was rolling my eyes the entire time.
Special mention for boss redesigns which look kind of cool.

This is a more polished sequel to the first CRE hack which dials back the silliness of the first a bit with a more consistent environment. I feel like maybe that works to its disadvantage, though it still has a few good laughs. In exchange there's clearly more attention to production value. It doesn't require a ton of skilled moves and sois a great hack to play if you've only got an hour or two and don't want to commit to something more challenging or lengthier. I don't remember my clear time or percentage but I play very casually and had a good time. Definitely recommend, especially if you aim to play the other CRE installments.

It has kinda cool bosses. Its really not ambitious nor is the level design interesting. Its not garbage but I can't justify a 3. It's something to play but I wouldn't really recommend it.
