Minihacks are generally a good bet to win this for obvious reason, but this might come as a small surprise to some. There was some strong competition for this award this year, especially against Attack of the Rinkas and Digital Cube. Darkholme ultimately won because the scope and depth of the hack, despite the small size of the overall product. Darkholme provides a little bit of everything. An interesting item progression, some good exploration, quite a bit of challenge, and even a story. Ultimately, Darkholme is really what you would want in any hack, a complete package. And that is why it took the Quick Play category.
