Description
After crashing her ship and destroying her items in fear of being possessed by Phantoon, Samus goes on a trip of self reflection.

Created to be in the same genre as "Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy" & "Jump King" where you must climb, in this case a cave, while constantly at risk of losing your progress. Unlike those games though, because of how SM works, this must be beaten in one sitting if you want to complete it. There is one save, but it only works as a way to keep your completions after you reach the top, saving here will start another climb.

Wins award 1 missile and a powerbomb mark on the HUD which will go away when the game is reset.
Walljumping only works on certain metals.
Spikes deal no damage.
The map is split into 3 because it was too tall, but it's not very helpful anyway.
There are some secrets of course.
Good luck on the climb!

Physics are vanilla, though there are some new mechanics. Moonwalk is recommended, but not required.
Warning: Like the games this is based on, this is meant to be difficult and unforgiving in many areas, if that's not what you want to play, don't.
No credit roll, play until you are satisfied.

Croak never holds back. This hack is brutal, maybe a little too brutal at times, but it does a great job of imitating games like Getting Over It and Jump King, which can also be brutal (I've tried both but havent completed either). Typically when you fall and lose progress, its not too much and you can recover, but its when you make multiple mistakes that you fall further and further. Of course there are places where a fall will lose you a lot of progress, but I think they were necessary for the hack's intended experience.
The majority of the movement in this hack is based on precision, having to jump/wj as late as possible, downgrabbing, etc. Croak essentially made a parkour playground and I had a blast exploring it. I liked the new mechanics as well.
I was able to complete the first room after enough time without savestates, but after that I started using them to save my progress. Found 2 of the supers and another hidden item (although i wasn't able to keep it for reasons). Might continue playing to find the rest of the secrets and/or see how far I can get without savestates.

I liked the underwater section, it was hard but everything was doable. I have to admit the second section has a jump that i can't do and it seems to honestly require two frame perfect wall jumps. It's destroyed my hands. It's well made and I like the concept but this one jump is just too brutal for me. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I've beaten some really hard hacks and I'll probably come back to this and try again but that last jump of the first section of part 2 is going to give me nightmares. I feel like this is probably doable consistently for such a small number of players that it's just too difficult for me to rate it as good.
