I made this in one weekend. Go hunting Kraid and retrieve the Barrier Suit from his lair.

Best of the weekend series yet. Very nice use of Vanilla tiles. The Spore Spawn setup was interesting in that you could have him offscreen with the fight still going. Secrets and progression hid nicely for a mini hack. Cool in-game info HUD. I look forward to a large scale Dewhi hack. Thanks for the hack.

This is a very enjoyable quick play hack and the best of the Weekend hacks.
Item collection showed 80% on the in-game HUD and 16% after the credits.

Pretty good for its shortness, easy to die in acid in one of the rooms.
Good for something made in 48h, especially with ASM stuffs.

Had to look up where spore spawn was, and momentarily got lost before Kraid. Personally thought the acid did too much damage.

For a mini hack its really good. I beat it much quicker initially but reloaded my save to explore a bit more. Its well designed, aesthetically pleasing, and has a neat hud. Really its only sin is being too short. Its not so groundbreaking that I could give it a 4 but it's a really strong 3 and well worth your time. This author has a lot of potential but always seems to stop short of doing something really impressive despite being seemingly capable of more. I'd love to see them do a full hack but I am plenty thankful for the quality hacks they do, even if they are generally too short for my sensibilities. Thanks for the hack.
