Description
Hi all
This is my 1st hack , I took the best hack I was able to find and did one big redirect on it, as per the name, it’s a full game, it’s easy, and I call it Exploration hack.

I have removed things and added things and done a big list of redirects, you may just get lost, but it’s all very easy to play, I can get it done within 2 hours, but you will not do that on your 1st go, even if you played Super Metroid many times

If you get stuck look for hidden routes, there is always a clue in most cases.

(This hack as now been updated, please report any bugs and the hack will be 100% updated, unlike many)

UPDATE: Ok, new ver out with an easy to find brinstar path look for 1.1 download

Update 2: This fixes the bad room in Maridia and spore spawn taking 5sec to kill download 1.2

Ok new ver 1.3 out after I noted a full play video on twitch, I noted and they noted some bugs, like map dot items that where not there, and a room he had to reset the game on, this as now all been fixed.

New ver out 1.4 1 bug removed.

New ver out 1.5 more bugs fixed

Ok new ver 1.6 is out with some room changes

Please post any feed back

Review written for version 1.2

This is a decent half hack of project base. That being so, it is harder to tell exactly what was made by the hack maker, and what was originally in project base. Either way, this hack, despite moving the items around, feels way to vanilla. Most rooms flow in almost the same way, and a lot aren't even changed at all. The original rooms, for the most part, are pretty good though.

The other main problem with the hack is the way some of the redirection is implemented. In my own playthrough, I wasn't really redirected by not having the necessary upgrades to proceed, but it was by arbitrary blockages. Locked doors, one-way passages, solid tiles that cut rooms in half requiring you to take a massive loop to get to the other side, these are the main culprits, but they are all really frustrating.

Overall, a nice first hack, but it has a lot of flaws that need to be sanded down. There isn't that much about it that makes it stand out either. Not recommended to those who do not like half-hacks, and somewhat recommendable to someone who just wants to play a hack.

Loved it!! Thank you for making this hack. I like that it isn't as simple as the other ones. nice creativity and hacking project base is a great way to start. Animals saved :D Makes me wanna go back and find the other 3%

This hack has crumble grapple blocks up the ass.
Maridia was extremely dumb as there were crumble blocks everywhere I went, the way to plasma was really dumb to figure out, etc.
I've seen better vanilla halfhacks.

pretty good for a halfhack of project base, I liked it and I'm surprised I didn't experience any issues like other users have commented.. this hack was pretty fun to speedrun.. 10/10 would recommend

It was... okay. Not quite as irredeemable as KPF's review suggests but you can and will fall into Norfair without collecting Varia suit first (hint: go immediately right the moment you enter Norfair) and the immediately available save station at the start of the Norfair exit loop only compounds upon this easy to make mistake since you are surrounded by heated rooms from then on. It's not impossible to heat run back to Varia (or in fact survive the rest of Norfair - I went and grabbed Ice Beam then had to farm fire Geemers to make it back out), but it is stupid and does take some amount of farmbug grinding to maneuver. Terrible design imo. Even worse, as Sapphron suggests, are the crapple grumble blocks plaguing the hack and especially Maridia. Totally normal path looks blocked by seemingly impenetrable blocks? Yep, time to bust out that Grapple Beam. Lower Norfair is guilty of this as well so you have to keep on the lookout. Overall, though? I always appreciate another excuse to traverse with Project Base movement, and this hack isn't anywhere near hard at all. It deserves Vanilla difficulty rating tbh, not Beginner. Be mentally prepared for TROM minus TROM because this hack has some dumb loops blocked by metal doors and crumble blocks designed to keep you trapped down in the Kraid area.
