Description

A demo of a hack I'm working on. This hack started as a thing for Oatsngoat's rom hacking contest but it became quickly obvious to me that I wouldn't finish in time for the deadline. Nevertheless here's what I do have so far, two areas. Hope you enjoy!
P.S. Feel free to sequence break as you'd like, there are no softlocks in this hack.
P.S.S. The only difference between this and the contest submission is the fixing of the cursed misssile. If you know, you know.

This Hack feels like Super Metroid 2.0. I really like how some upgrades were used. Another thing I noticed is that all the upgrades are hinted at visually so there never a random item hiding in the corner of a room without any visually cues. Definitely a must play! 9/10!

Really nicely done!! This is a really good hack for a demo, it's got some great stuff in it. Items are placed very well and don't feel super obtuse to get to. It's kind of a jokey hack too, with its unfinished status and the last screenshot. Lots of stuff you can do in this, and I'm excited to see what Exister comes up with in the future!
Finished w/ true ending.

This is a really nice chill hack that lets you wander around and explore some well-made rooms. If this were a full game, instead of a demo, I would be giving it 5 points. The changes to the minimap are fantastic and it really made the game a lot of fun to explore.

And even though it's just a demo, it's still some good afternoon fun. If you want to get all the items it will probably take you at least an hour, maybe two.

I'm really looking forward to the finished hack.

Outstanding demo. It's very polished and has some simple features that let it stand out despite it sticking to basics. It should be an outstanding hack if it's ever finished. It's a great demo, but demos are worth a lot less to me than complete games. For a demo it's a 5 but compared to the complete experiences also found on here it's limited scope lands it a 3 for me. Take that as you will. Great job, i'm really looking forward to the complete experience. I feel like the author has a the potential to push for a 5 star hack if he sticks with it.
