Unsurprisingly, my vote here goes to Ascent. It's a fantastically designed, weird little hack, and I had a great time playing it.

Ascent was the hack of the year, hands down. Play it if you haven't yet, won't regret it.
Oil Spill is also a really good hack but apparently didn't make it into the other categories :(

Ascent is one of the absolute best hacks out there. That is not to take away from the other competition here, as I do really think The Blue Plague and Oil Spill deserve to be nominated here, but Ascent is at the absolute peak.
