Not a disassembly of JAM's code. Nonetheless the functional overlap warrants credit to JAM, the rightful author of the original Event Gray Doors (Extra Event Doors.)

The version posted here is from the Boss Area Event System. This is compatible with Nodever2's Door PLM Rewrite.

To use simply select the "Etecoons/Dachora Saved" condition in SMART. Now you can select an event to unlock the gray door that is matching the Door ID (or PLM argument.) This will be the low byte of the PLM argument. (To use in the animals room the Door ID should be set to $0F.)

By default the "Area Boss Defeated" condition is commented out. If you comment this back in, the "Area Boss Defeated" condition will be replaced by code that unlocks the gray door when an event is set matching the room index. (It's there if you want it, but only makes sense within the context of the Boss Area Event System. Leave it out for general use.)

As of February 15th 2025, this requires no modification to Nodever2's Door Cap PLM Rewrite. Instead it hijacks the vanilla locations of the original Boss Defeated and Etecoons/Dachora saved routines in Bank $84.
