Description
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!!
Due to some technical things, there are two versions of this patch. If you don't like reading and don't need to modify the patch at all, just download and patch the "Consolidated.zip" version and have a nice day. Hopefully it won't overwrite any other patches you've installed... Otherwise, keep reading.
Things get a little more complicated if you want to tweak this patch (this includes enabling beam stacking, as it is disabled by default). So, you will need to download the "Unconsolidated.zip" file and patch a few things in a specific order. This is for a few reasons:
1. The patch itself requires you to patch "CleanHUD.IPS" before you apply the actual .IPS or .ASM file that contains the new HUD
2. The patch also requires a different patch. It is a map patch by -DC- and is included in the .zip file as "Map Patch 1 (JU) [unheadered].ips" but can also be found here if you want more information: http://forum.metroidconstruction.com/index.php/topic,151.msg4416.html#msg4416
3. Lastly, a bug was found in this patch which requires ANOTHER patch to be applied after all of this. It was made by Mettk25jigsaw, and is included in the .zip file named "Hud2.5Fix.IPS" but can be found here if you want more information: http://metroidconstruction.com/resource.php?id=68
So, the result of all of this is that you have to do many patches in a very specific order. The benefit of this is that you can edit the "HUD2.5.asm" file and change things if you need. This includes:
-Beam Stacking (Read through the commented ASM file and comment out the indicated lines to enable beam stacking)
-Freespace location (as always, asm files can be repointed to new freespace if you are already using other patches that are using that same space).
THERE IS A README IN "Unconsolidated.zip" WHICH YOU SHOULD REFER TO IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE ORDER IN WHICH TO PATCH THESE FILES.
Again, the consolidated download already has all of these things installed in the proper order.
