Return of Justin TP2 - v3.0 is a hack with graphics in the purest style of ZX Spectrum, the level design remembers NES Metroid 1. At first they may seem like simple graphics, but as you progress through the game, you really come to love them. This hack has a very good progress rate and the order in which you get the items is excellent. The only criticism I have towards the game is that it does not have a properly designed ending, since it ends when you enter Chozodia, although you already know this because it's in the Incomplete category.
I really liked this game and I will give it 4 Orbs in its own category.

Hydellius Ultimate is a hack that I really enjoyed playing, custom gfx, very good level design. The graphics, different enemies and the atmosphere of each area, make it really feel like a very different planet from Zebes. I liked the amount of mini puzzles you have to solve to obtain Items and advance in the game. You can tell that TROM used a lot of time to design the gates system, although sometimes a bit confusing, they give the game a longer duration. I got lost several times and I enjoyed finding the place where I had to go and after 15 hours, I managed to finish it with 66% of Items collected.
Good work, TROM, I recommend this game and I will give it 4 out of 5 orbs.

I'm not going to lie, this game is hard, but as you advance and get more items, the difficulty becomes more tolerable. This game has excellent graphics, very alien-style and as you progress through the game you want to know what the next room will be like. The entrance to the final area of the game gives you a taste of what lies ahead, some outstanding graphics and great music create an atmosphere that causes you apprehension and fear. And the ending seemed epic to me, please play this game and don't let the initial difficulty stop you.

This game is wonderful, it integrates perfectly into the Project Base and you will have a wide variety of movements at your disposal, it even has a secret movement that you will love to discover.
Overgrown vegetation and very old Chozo statues adorn an environment that amazes you. The backgrounds are detailed and in armony with the old Chozo culture, to which we add a very careful color palette and enemies according to their environment.
You enjoy wandering around all corners of the planet trying to find each and every one of the hidden Items and face the entire legion of enemies, large and small.
Getting the last item in the escape sequence is a great help in finding your way to the exit and what a pressure you feel for an unfriendly environment.
It is difficult to find another game with such extraordinary graphics, even in the entire SNES game catalog, Albert V. has truly created a work of art.
This game is a gem, I recommend that you play it, as you will enjoy it as I do.

Temple of the Winds v2.1 is a game that has amazing graphics, custom enemies, a lot of gfx additions and an awesome Mode 7 background that serves as an introduction to the last part of the game, in addition to an excellent soundtrack. Play this game, but please read the manual first so that you understand your mission better.

Very good Hack, I liked his music, in certain places it makes you feel scared. I really appreciate the creators who try something new, for that reason the magnet item seems interesting to me. It has good graphics and good level design, I did not see an error in tiling, only an enemy that walked upside down. I'm going to play it again to try to get 100% of items. I really enjoyed this game and for me, it deserves 5 magnets!!

Coming from Return of Justin, Ascent is like a rainbow in a picnic.

I like that each room is unique and colorful, with its names that sometimes is an ingenious way to give you clues and I also like that the puzzles have different ways of being solved, even if you think enough you can do sequence break, although of course, because the game is divided into 3 areas, what you can advance is only limited to the same area.
Although I do not like the black fog in some rooms that covers the bottom of the screen, it is not a factor that demerit in the least the excellent work that the creator of this game has done.
In short, a fairly large game with good puzzles that make you think to find the solution, new game techniques, quite colorful and use of FX, it has been a fascinating experience and different from any other hack I have played.
I recommend that you also play it and enjoy it !!

Hotlands is a great hack, overall very good graphics and new music. What I liked the most in the game was the jungle area, the graphics of that area are impressive. And I also appreciate the effort in programming new bosses. Thanks for making it MetroidNerd#9001.
I definitely recommend that you play it, you will like it and you will enjoy it.

To be a hack of a contest, it's big, it took me more than 3 hours to finish it and the truth is that those hours I played were fun. I liked his music and graphics, especially his music which is outstanding. The new anti-gravity mechanic isn't new to Super Metroid hacks, but turning Samus upside down is new, I don't know how they pulled that off, but it's technically impressive. I recommend this game because it is fun. Play it!

Creative design of puzzles and good graphics, I liked so much the room of the hands. There are things that can be improved, but this game was designed for a contest, so it's acceptable. I hope that in future versions of the game new music will be added according to the new areas, that would be remarkable. The only bad thing I suffered is that I wasted a lot of time trying to find Speed Booster, because I thought that for the new item to work, it was necessary to have Speed Booster in your arsenal, but it turns out that I was not correctly executing the order of buttons necessary to use the new item, anyway, it was only my fault. I was playing in bsnes-hd and this game looks pretty good in widescreen :)

It was released on April 1st, but it's big and fun to be a joke, the game's author explained the intention of the game, but it's more than that. The new X-Ray Scope way of working is very well done and at first I didn't know how to use it, it feels good when you discover its use.
It's a pain to navigate through the Error area, but it's nice that the first time you enter to it, the exit is near. This area is so confusing I was thinking I was in a Lost Caverns type puzzle, but no, it's just the rooms are too similar but that layout of the rooms was done this way intentionally. I almost gave up on the Error area, but keep going until I progress further into the game and found the little Lost Cavern type puzzle, GOOD JOB.

I think this game was very well planned and improved the way you advance and get items compared to Vanilla Super Metroid, where you got items that you hardly needed anymore and would have really been very useful if you had gotten them earlier in your adventures on the planet Zebes.
This game is extensive, with many areas to explore and puzzles to solve.
The variety of its scenarios and the colorful map make this game very fun and not boring at all.
Something that I liked is the way to implement the ammo system, no more risk of getting stuck with no way out due to lack of a Super Missile or a Power Bomb.
What breaks the monotony and avoids being repetitive is its many and varied music, some songs better than others, but in general a very good selection of tracks. I would like to get all the songs so I can listen to them while doing other things.
The new Dark Visor item, I like how it is necessary to see your way in the caves and how to use it against a boss.
The way the map changes after some events is something I don't remember seeing before in another Super Metroid mod and I think it's excellent.
Anyway, this is a game that kept me entertained for several weeks, and it's free.

I remember playing this game when Nobucky posted it on SMeckHack. Overall I liked the choice of palettes, new variety of colors is always refreshing when replaying Super Metroid. The route you must follow to advance in the game has changed, good for that, but in the end this game is nothing more than a half hack, but I liked the fact of having taken Project Base v0.7.2 as a base. Anyway, thanks for sharing this game here on metconst, as it gave me more than 3 and a half hours of fun.

A nice challenge hack; for being the author's first hack, the result is quite good. It is appropriate for spend an afternoon trying to find the route to follow. I must admit that the room where you need to do a short charge caused me headaches, either because the path is uphill or because I like to play with an Xbox 360 wireless controller, using the analog stick. I especially liked a multicolor background in a room, it is very well done. Thanks for this game, neen, I hope to be able to play more hacks from you in the near future. I recommend this game to people who like challenge hacks.
