It was really fun.
It's not entirely open-ended, as entering the room with the Omega will lock you into the ending, but that's probably very hard to change in a hack.
There were some puzzles that had me stumped for a while, like the one in the Engine Room (i think, it's been a minute) where you have to leave morph ball to then cling to a ledge, and wall-jump up to the next, that taught me some cool tricks and made me better at the game (or rather the engine, I don't think Fusion actually has any puzzles like that in the base game).
The very beginning of it stumped me, but that's because I was scared of a risky jump and didn't think to check a particular wall.
The parts with the SA-X chase sequences were pretty freaking hard, it's hard to outrun it sometimes (and to anyone looking, there's no secrets in any of those parts, so don't go trying just for nothing), but it's not impossible. Just takes some practice and trial and error.
All around, this was the most open-ended Fusion hack I've ever played, and it's got me excited for the future of Fusion hacking! It was really fun!
