The concept alone is super cool. I think it was really smart to allow possible softlocks for progression - a lesser hack would have forced you to complete the game in a very specific way to complete and the game would have ended up just being a boring SM run in reverse. I'm not a speedrunner, but I think this hack has amazing potential for finding cool new routes and tricks not used in vanilla SM.
My only real issue is I find it weird how you can't drop Morphball early. Everywhere else the game is content with letting you softlock. It's a small thing, and for all I know there is a technical reason for it, but I do find it somewhat odd.
