I just (sorta) finished a new MZM suitless hack, entitled Neon City. While it's mostly complete, I'll be making a few changes later on as more is learned about doors and such. Currently, it ends after beating Ridley, but that's only because the elevators are broken and I don't know where the room stuff is in the ROM.

Lotsa thanks to PJBoy for ASM help and interdpth for ZeroFission/Double Helix and trying to get the ugly backdrop out.

Speaking of the ugly backdrop, I highly recommend disabling BG3 while playing by pressing Ctrl+4 (VBA).

This hack had a neat idea, being suitless, but it executed it HORRIBLY.
It streamlines you along a veeeery linear path down to Ridley, where you have to farm a ton of blue Violas to get your health back after a heatrun, that can basically only be done if you have an extra e-tank.
In the beginning, there's a few paths you can go but none of them actually take you anywhere. It's just the vanilla map but with a blockade or two removed, and you end up going all the way to Bombs when you couldn't even get anything on the way there anyways. Some of the e-tanks are just taunts and you can't get them.
There are a few precision walljumps off crumbles in the room with the Power Grip blockade normally, and you have to get a frame perfect crumble jump.
Your beam does so little damage that it's unbelievable. The gadora right before Ridley takes like 30 shots, and the beam counter is full length. It's garbage. I killed Ridley (without savestates)and headed up to the elevator to leave, and was greeted by an elevator that leads me out of bounds so you can't go back at all.
OH YEAH AND THE BACKGROUND!!!! IT'S TRASH AND HURTS YOUR EYES. Cool neon tilesets but some of the tilesets are unchanged and some are made worse actually.
Cool concept but no. Don't play this.
Did not finish.
Do not recommend.

No completion stats.
The premise and basic tilesets were kinda intriguing, but the backgrounds and general flow of gameplay is a mess.
