Description
In vanilla Super Metroid, a "spikesuit" is the name of a glitch that gives you a stored shinespark that you can use later (similar to the well-known "blue suit" glitch, but you lose a blue suit if you run). However, when you have a spikesuit, you need to move carefully in order to not set it off accidentally.

This hack is simple: you always have a shinespark charged, ready to be set off.

Shinespark health drain is disabled, and the crash animation is shortened to 10 frames, so there's basically no downside to intentionally shinesparking everywhere to get around faster, but this is offset by the need to be careful in your movement.

The "Hard Mode" re-enables health drain, and the full crash animation.

A neat little idea of a permanent speedbooster. It allows for potential Suitless Maridia/access to Lower Norfair without Space Jump, which extends routing options.

Course, this means you can't simply jump while standing still just to shoot a beam or missile, but is otherwise beatable. Personally didn't beat it myself because I merely wanted to test this out, and it gets a decent rating for at least having the concept be there. If this was attatched to a hack that was based all around the name of this patch, then I'd bump it up to a three or four, but that would've been more time put into making such things possible.

Does what it says on the tin! Can be applied to different roms which is a nice benefit.
