Without them this project wasn't going in the right way like his predecessor EX Mission! I want to thanks also all the Metconst community who make the older game of the license still live , via original rom-hack or vanilla + , Making a way better experience for the younger audience who can't get used to controls or old mechanics for example i'm glad to be on these community. About the Custom Music Used From now (5.0 for now). Intro : Imported from SR387 Kraid Lair : Imported from Return to zebes Ridley Lair / Magmoor Cavern : Imported from Return to Zebes Lower Norfair Remix / SSB Style made by Lewmoth Music Used with Gbatroid music importer (After recovering the fullsuit) Version 5.0 [January 2023] (Multiple fixes / Edit) -A few QoL got added. (auto fire / climb) -Deorem only appear at one area now (Vani ZM missile tank area) -Edited the door to be a Blue one on bomb path but red on the other side (Forcing missile obtention there if not aquired earlier) -Swapped some tank place at brinstar forcing old player to search a bit more. -Space Pirate finally have the good color. -Removed space BG0 at crateria. -Slightly edited chozodia -Added Fake out tank , they look like normal tank but they are only destructible block that won't appear anymore watch carefully the minimap / map since they don't appear on it !. -Expanded Crateria , gonna be more expanded on newer version (early item , required for 101 %) -Nerfed Mecha / Ridley -Time attack got added after finishing the game , it is now possible to choose the difficulty too. -Fixed Sound looping while ballsparking in a zip line in morph ball form. -Fixed ice clip glitch. -The door now pulsate with light. -Gravity / Deercat suit got sligtly buffed , low lava don't do any damage anymore and lava / extreme temperature damage got reduced. -The imago larva at norfair got buffed about their life value. -Space Jump Got Nerfed (can't be used underwater if you don't have gravity , however if not collected / actuvated you can use another mobillity items) -Kiru guru is immunized to power bombs (finally) and his life and spore damage got buffed. -Wave GFX got "cleaned up" -Crateria got a one sided door at the beginning in room 2 (Brinstar Corridor) , avoiding some issue in the future and keep a sort of linearity with the game , preventing crateria to be rushed in one go. -Ice and long Gfx and color got heavily edited , mostly to differ them easily. -Long beam upgrade gave an unlimited reach (continue off-screen) , same for heavy gear (Missile and Super) -Space jump delay is sliglty less exploitable. -Added a power bomb tank , making the game completion to 101% (and having a round name for power tank) -Power bombs value got edited AGAIN , it is 5 on easy , 3 on normal and 1 on hard. -Ennemies and shot act have no collision with any thanks clipdata anymore (still collectible no worries) -Magma and Brinstar / Kraid Lava have better animation , same for the heat (Thanks Alexman) -Power grip is enabled from the start. (Helping new players mostly) -Lightweight Varia got renamed to Lunar Varia Same for gravity called deercat / Gravity suit. Color in game and in the items selection screen too. -Hi-jump boots are now called Double / Catagami's jump boots and unlike hi-jump , it is now possible to jump in mid air. the height value is sliglty higher than no hi-jump to avoid them to be extremely broken with Lunar Varia (THANKS RAYGUN FOR THAT ONE BECAUSE I SU** AT ASM QWQ) -Tourian map got slightly edited. -EASY , NORMAL and HARD mode are now called BEGINNER , VETERAN and EXTREME making it easier for newcommer or people who aren't at ease with the 2d metroid games, , Hard got renamed like this due to the tredemous difficulty spike even for people who know the series if they are unprepared. -Brinstar Green door got moved on to the door before, avoiding to get there and doing a U-turn right after because you don't have the super missile. -Some area got slightly edited since some sprite (like chozo statue guide) got removed to be "less" akward and sliglty more polished -Multiples tileset got recolored to give more life to them (less pale) , same for a few sprite. same for removing / changing the last red line border. -Ice beam can be obtained earlier if you know where to have it in the Nestroid Game , same for power grip , who's easily obtainable early too as long mother brain isn't killed. (if it's the case , the early one will be loocked and must be obtained where it is on vanilla.) -Doors have now a more gray tern than a rusty brown one , making it better to look in that recolor. [Version 4.0 / Final version 2022 ("Major" GFX and Musics , Gameplay edit , value editing)] -Recharge + save are now only on easy mode at Brinstar and Norfair one , however all space pirate mothership remains intact in all difficulty settings. -Atomics spawn on easy mode , and have a beam sentibility unlike vanilla , have more health and can be frozen. (Thanks Ckosmick for that tweak ^^) -Imago got edited to be a "better challenge" than vanilla (due to early plasma + charge) -Some recolor where made again (In vanilla colored rooms who didn't fit well from my own POV) -Tentacle / Worms in norfair can be now destroyed with speedbooster / screw attack. -Music of the zone you actually are is still playing in the save area (Example brinstar keep playing there even if you are on a save, if you are on brinstar) space pirate mothership isn't concerned by that -Edited the music played after defeating the Chozo guardian / Charlie and recovering the suit. -Edited title Screen (again , due to some social media issue and more private one) -Samus gfx in the items selection screen have a proper quality update , having reflection effect unlike the old , and flat gfx from 3.5 and older version. -Charge Beam gfx got edited , being less big / oversized than vanilla (dosen't affect the hitbox of pseudo screw) -Tank value got revised , Mostly for easy mode (E-tank aren't concerned) Missile Tank are now 7 in easy. Super Missile Tank are 4 on Easy 3 on Normal , and 1 on Hard mode. Power Bombs Tank are 3 on Easy and Normal , and 1 on Hard mode. -Samus spaceship finally got his color fixed (no more weird pink after escaping zebes after tourian) -Kraid life value got nerfed due to these changes. (-30%) and most of his damage dealt got slightly nerfed (~ -7% / ~12%) -Deorem small spike deal more damage (didn't got edited in the past) and his life got fixed (making the fight slitgly more longer) -Samus color got gradually fixed in game , arm cannon with gravity got her original color back. shinespark , unmorph etc will show proper color , instead of the old one from 2.0 to 3.0 Version 3.5 08 / 29 / 2022 (GFX / Multiple Sprite edit and Missile edit) -Mecha ridley have now gamer / RGB(J) Light instead of only the green one. -Plasma beam GFX are now kinda simillar to the Metroid dread one , non charged one -Varia item name in samus menu got edited to L.varia (Lightweight Varia). -Multiple items gfx got edited , like the energy / missile tank , some major items etc... -Missile and super missile got nerfed , you can now shoot 4 missile at a time and the cooldown is 7 instead of 2. , Super is 3 on the screen at a time and 7 instead of 4 for the cooldown , making them less broken and over used. -Samus white part of the suit is a bit more gray , since a few brown part left on 3.0 Version 3.0 (Small GFX / Color / Gameplay Edit) 08 / 16 / 2022 -Gravity suit arm cannon color got fixed. -Edited plasma beam (Some spark appear while shooting charged version) -Title Screen Finally show the proper game name (ES Mission instead of ZM) -Black Pirate can be one-shooted with a heavy hit ... but what weapon ? -Restored old skip at norfair , wave beam isn't fully necessary to defeat the two imago larva and same for speed booster to acess it. -NG+ don't show spooks on the map screen anymore , instead it's the casual power bombs. -Void room at brinstar have the block bomb changed to normal instead of chain one for making breakable with the ballspark machine than spamming bomb after hurting them. Version 2.8 / Final Stable (balanced stuff , minor fix / changes / Recovery) 07/20/2022 | 07 / 21 / 2022 -"Smoother" Animation while running and spinjumping (Still need to find space jump one) [Original Tweak found by Cosmick] -Music issue fixed with space pirate encounter (no more glitchy) -speedbooster and screw attack now destroy chain bombs block and screw attack too. -Samus color suit have a slightly darker tone to be more close to the actual color in the newer games. -Some Items color got edited again to be more fiting the actual one. -Added some chain bombs block in the void room in brinstar to avoid falling and spamming wall jump. (Suggestion added by LetsPlayNintendoITA) -Some description got edited to be more precise / understandable. -Ice Gfx Got replaced by the fusion one. -Wave GFX Got edited too based on the SM / Metroid 2 games [thanks to Starry And Raygun for this one] -Plasma GFX Got edited to be more slimmer than the older version of it. (From Spazer patch) - Two Black pirate got placed at the room right before ridley , making it quite harder and a sort of trial like the golden one in super metroid (their are vunerable to all beam but can't be pierced by plasma) -Ridley fireball aren't freezable , so i removed this feature making them only weak to Missile and beamshot , not screw attack , and the drop got edited. -Super Metroid Speed Projectiles (Thanks Raygun to found this one) Version 2.5 / 2.5b 07/16/2022 (Major Patch / Fix / Balance) -Black Space pirate are now vunerable to any beam -GBA Controls works properly like the SNES one , no more glitchy shinespark or forcing to crouch. -Fusion Beam got removed , Beam burst got added for the snes controls and R-Shot of the Gba ones -Tractor beam is way better than the 2.0 version (Used ZMTH 0.3) -You can get each map station in the void area. -Ridley is less bulkier, and his big fire ball got edited to be immune to everything , unless the Charge beam (Beam burst if used the SNES controls) and they are freezable , like in Nestroid. -Normal and Hard mode got reduced , 75 for each e-tank in normal , 50 in hard , like in vanilla. -Save rooms got edited to share the same IA as chozodia one , just with another color. -Void room in brinstar got a ball launcher (shinespark) to avoid some massive wall jump or bombs jumps. -Original kraid room got restaured and fixed (No more glitchy) -Restored background at the chozo ruin (crateria) -Edited map on brinstar , removing the access to the beta area on it for now. -Edited map on bristar , removed the JPN Text and moved to the US one again. -No more glitchy sound after obtaining charge beam alone , shooting and charging. -Changed the destructible block by another one to access space jump with a certain requirement. -Shinespark mobility got nerfed and take a bit longer to start. -Door added to go back in brinstar in the void via ridley lair and chozodia. -Power bombs damage got to 32 each instead of FF (avoid soft locking) -Zero suit samus text got edited after the shootdown sequence to be more obvious about why her space ship is still there , but unable to fly of Zebes. -Zero suit wall jump have the same time than with the power suit. 2.0 13 July 2022 -Official Release on Metconst of Metroid: ES Mission 2.0 fixing stuff from the older version and adding more.
