We have a beautiful topic on Metroid Construction, the idea for which originates from our olden days based within Metroid 2002 (whom we don't like, but we must admit we owe a lot to for offering us a place for sharing hacking resources before Metconst even began to exist!) Many of you may have even heard of the beast. The Hacks/Fangames General Screenshots Thread offers us a lot of insight into the lengths we've gone to create beautiful things with the Metroid games Nintendo has generously handed down to us, and what's to come next in the world of Metroid hacking. Of most notable mention of these hacks was Black Falcon's up-and-coming hack, which is only known (at least to me) as "Predator." I haven't gotten to watch much of the preview vids, but from what I've seen, the amount of work being put into the overall aesthetic feel of the hack itself is just stunning. Tying Predator for nominations in this category is the legendary Aegis, which is still not going to be released any time soon. Special mention goes to the waiting on Insanity, AM2R, Impulsion, Bounty on Rhizon, Singularity, and Temporus, as indicated by our fellow community members. May 2010 be an awesome year for hacks!
